ABOUT

Sarah Wilson is an illustrator and animator living in Manchester, UK.

Working closely with commercial businesses and art directors to produce illustrated and animated work for their articles, adverts, brands and stories. Sarah's work is playful and bold, using block colours and often dark backgrounds to depict character-led imagery with a folky feel through a contemporary lens.

Sarah's work is inspired by her love of the unconventional, taking inspiration from imagery of the circus, festivals, costume and cabinets of curiosities - often sourced from historical archives.

Selected clients:

Derwent / Elephant Academy / Design MCR / UAL: Camberwell / The AOI / University of Lancaster / University of Manchester / Ohh Deer / Not-Another-Bill / The Bowes Museum / Maisonette World / The Skinny / Mollie Makes / Bloom / iNostalgia Publishing / Women in Print

Having also received recognition for her animation work from New Designers in 2018, Les Sommets du cinéma d'animation in 2019 and Centre Pompidou in 2020.
